Man, all of your music is so fantastic! In all seriousness, I think you have the compositional potential to be an anime/game composer.
In this piece, you have a great sense of drama in the harmonies and orchestration. The strings starting around :07 have so much rhythmic drive and style to them. The moving brass harmonies are beautiful. The pairing of piano, strings, and clarinet at the beginning are so bright, and the brass that follows is so biting and intense. Really wonderful stuff.
Some criticisms to balance this review out though:
-The piece would greatly benefit from some reverb in my opinion. It sounds too dry for the style.
-The fade out ending makes the piece sound unfinished.
-There are plenty of cool ideas in this short two minutes, but they don't really feel developed. Your piece would have so much more emotional impact and would stick better in a listener's melody if you repeated phrases, developed them, played with variations, created contrasting sections, and the like. You are really good at creating amazing soundscapes, but I get the sense that you are not as strong when it comes to form and structure.
I think if you work on form, development, and melody, you'll be able to make some really incredible pieces. You already make some fantastic works, but there is still room for improvement. By the way, what VSTs do you use?
Awesome job, I'm rooting for you in this contest! :D
